8. Kody Keplinger’s The Duff was one of my favorite books this year. I didn’t think I was going to like it, but I was wrong!

7. For the first time this year I read a Sarah J. Maas book which was A Court Of Thorns And Roses.

6. Sabaa Tahir has beautiful writing and I did like An Ember In The Ashes, but I did feel it was overhyped!

5.  Ichigo Takano wrote Orange which is a manga! Such a short, sweet story that I highly recommend!

4. Yoko Kamio is the author of Cat Street and Boys Over Flowers. She is amazing!

3. Zoë Marriott’s writing style is beautiful and I can’t wait to check out more of her work! Shadows On The Moon was such a beautiful retelling of Cinderella.

2. Renee Ahdieh is my second  favorite author this year. The Wrath And The Dawn was amazing and I can’t wait for the sequel!!

  1. Marie Rutkoski has been one of my favorite authors for this year. The Winner’s Trilogy is such a great series that I feel is underrated. Can’t wait for The Winner’s Kiss!!!

  1. I agree with you on so many of these! Haha, the Winner trilogy really deserves much more recognition! I’ve been saying this forever, but I so need to read The Winner’s Crime soon—it feels like everyone’s already read it 🙂

    • It’s good and frustrating at the same time! I really love The Winner’s Trilogy! You should read The Winner’s Crime! I don’t want to spoil much, but it’s amazing! 😀

  2. Great choices ! Sarah J. Maas is high on my priority list, I keep hearing great things about her and her books, so I can’t wait to read some of them! 🙂
The Wrath and the Dawn is one of those books I heard TONS of great things about, but I still didn’t get the chance to read it. I hope I will, and that I’ll like it! 🙂

  3. I read Sarah J Maas for the first time this year too! I read ACOTAR first, then Throne of Glass. She’s simply brilliant.

Great choices in this post, it seems like you’ve managed to pack in a lot of reading this year. I have been hesitant about reading The Wrath and the Dawn, but now that I’m seeing it so high on so many people’s lists, I simply must pick it up.

    • I tried to read a bit more books than last year. I find that this year, I had a more time to spend reading!! Yes, please do pick up The Wrath and The Dawn, it’s simply brilliant! 😀
