What I’m Grateful For This Christmas:

There are many things that I am grateful for this Christmas. The first one would be my family, I don’t know what I would do without them. I am really blessed to have such a thoughtful family. The second would be my boyfriend since he is my best friend. He has really helped me out this year. I am also grateful for having a job and great work hours. I am grateful that I have a blog! It’s such a great place to share my bookish thoughts! Really happy that I have my own domain now. Lastly, I am grateful to have lived another year without any health problems.

Favorite Childhood Christmas Presents:

I have two presents that I am most fond of. The first one being my pink teddy bear named Bubbles. I’ve had Bubbles since I was eight years old and I still have her to this date! She is one of my precious stuffed animal that I love. Even though I can’t recall who gave me Bubbles, I cherish her a lot. The second present is my Sailor Moon Spiral Heart Moon Rod that my grandma gave me for Christmas. She knew how much I loved watching Sailor Moon when I was younger that she searched all over for Sailor Moon merchandise when I was still living in Mexico.

Christmas Seating:

Usually, I sit with my sisters and cousins when it comes to Christmas Dinner. There isn’t arranged seating and everyone just picks where they want to sit. The small kids and the young adults sit in one table while the parents sit at another. Either way, as long as I celebrate with family, I will be happy!

My Childhood Christmas Memory

I was six years old when I first celebrated my first Christmas in the United States. I was raised in Mexico, and I was used to celebrating Christmas with my grandparents. It was the first time that I didn’t celebrate Christmas  with my grandparents, but the first time I celebrated with my actual parents. On Christmas Day, I was overwhelmed by how many presents my parents bought me.There was two giant bags filled with toys and a giant Christmas tree. I was expecting one present from my parents, and not so many. The reason why I ended up getting all those presents where to make up for the years my parents couldn’t celebrate Christmas with me. It made me cry because they worked really hard since the day I was born. They wanted me to have an easy life in Mexico, and not see their suffering. Yes, I loved the presents, but I loved my parents even more because they sacrificed a lot for me. Even though my parents aren’t together, that first Christmas in the United States is one of my treasured memories.
